A house, a house... we are going to buy a house. We have known for a bit, but I'm not doing the best at blogging right now. Working on some diet/breastfeeding/weight loss challenges, as well as other personal and family challenges. But those are stories for other blogging days.
Come the end of May, this is our new house.
We are very excited. We looked at the house online but it was way too far out of our price range to consider. And then plop, down the price plunged... right into our laps. Our realtor called us hours after the price change and we were looking at it a couple hours later, and we had an offer to the sellers before the end of the night. The sellers approved it the next day and passed it on to the bank since it is a short sale. We got the approval from the bank a week ago (3 1/2 weeks after we submitted the offer). Truly not a bad turn around for a short sale. We couldn't be happier with how it is all coming together. Though we are disappointed in not finding a home on a bit more land, it has so much potential and we think our family will be quite happy there for a good long time. Mike and I already have grand plans on how to maximize the landscaping and remodel the interior. We just can't help ourselves... we're dreamers. We have the home inspection this week so fingers crossed that nothing is seriously wrong with it. :)
On a side note, and because I like posting pictures of my kids... Daylin has been such an angel with Shelby lately. It seems like Shelby gets the most frustrated that she isn't being held when I am right in the middle of something that I can't stop. Like cooking something that is about to burn. Well Daylin will crawl up on the counter and talk to Shelby, tying to calm her down. (Which she succeeds at most of the time.)
The conversations go something like this... "Don't cry Shelby, you just have to give your momma a little space, because she is trying to cook us good food. She still loves you Shelby, please don't cry. Sister is right here. A boo, boo, boo, boo, boo Shelby." And so on. Love it.

That is fantastic news! Seems like the house is just meant to be. We've seen short sales take 6 months to get approval. (Insane) Congratulations! I'm excited to see all the remodeling you guys will do :)
Daylin's vocabulary just cracks me up. Seriously, how do you keep up with her? That's awesome that she's taken over the big sister role so well.
